Rotherham may finally be condemned to League One on Friday night

It has been a miserable season for Rotherham and their relegation, which is as good as confirmed anyway, may be sealed on Friday night. Anything but victory over Plymouth will condemn the Millers to League One.

But Argyle, who dispensed with their manager Ian Foster after a miserable Easter weekend and a dismal run of form. need a win themselves. They are just a point and a place above the drop zone. It will be a nervy affair.

It is live on Sky Sports Football from 7.30pm on Friday night; kick-off 8pm.

Sky Sports’ David Prutton’s prediction: “This should well be the night that Rotherham finally drop back into League One after a really disappointing campaign. But they will be feeling a little more confident after their win on Monday. I think they could frustrate Plymouth, here. 1-1.”

A bruising battle set to hit East Anglia at Saturday lunchtime

We can, on occasion, get a little hyperbolic when discussing our Championship action. But Saturday lunchtime at Carrow Road is genuinely, nearly, as big as it gets.

It is an East Anglia derby, and there is just so much to play for as play-off-chasing Norwich host leaders Ipswich Town. The Canaries will be desperate to get one big foot into the top-six door, and stop their fierce rivals from closing in on the Premier League.

Norwich haven’t lost his fixture in 15 years, and haven’t lost at home to Ipswich in 18 years. Expect blood and thunder.

It is live on Sky Sports Football from 12pm on Saturday; Kick-off 12.30pm.

Sky Sports’ David Prutton’s prediction: “I cannot wait for this one at Carrow Road. In the reverse fixture Norwich were just trying to halt Ipswich’s progress, but now they have a lot at stake themselves, and a proud record against their rivals to maintain. I think there will be goals and drama. 2-2.”
