Infra and defence mutual funds dominate returns chart in first half of 2024

Infrastructure and defence based mutual funds have dominated the returns chart in the first half of 2024, an analysis of the return charts showed. There were around 208 sectoral/thematic funds in the said period.

HDFC Defence Fund, the topper in the list, gave 55.22% return in the first half of 2024. Bandhan Infrastructure Fund and LIC MF Infra Fund, two infrastructure sector based funds, gave 43.43% and 40.67% returns respectively.
